K12-powered online first grade programs offer your child a personalized education experience. They follow the traditional school-year calendar and are tuition-free,* just like traditional public schools.
Elementary school curriculum for K12-powered schools is mastery based, meaning your child works at a pace best suited for their learning style. Online first grade programs combine hands-on learning with engaging online lessons to keep your student excited about learning. Curriculum is taught by state-certified teachers.

Get Involved With Your 1st Grader’s Online Education
As your child’s parent or guardian, you’ll act as their Learning Coach. Your role will be to make sure your student completes their assignments and finishes lessons to stay on track. You’ll work closely with teachers to monitor your student’s progress. In first grade, the Learning Coach role typically takes about 4–6 hours a day.
